Set Your ICP (Target Audience)

Your ICP (Ideal Customer Profile) tells GrowReach who is a good lead for you — so the Leads page can rank and flag the right people. On the Leads page, click Your ICP/target Audience (top) to open the “Set Your ICP Targets” modal.

The four parts of your ICP

The ICP modal has four sections — each matches a different part of a prospect’s profile:
  1. Job Title / Seniority Level (the “Who”) — matches against a prospect’s current job title or headline. Examples: Executive, Director / Head of Department, CEO / Founder / President / Chairman / Owner, Manager / Supervisor / Leader, Senior Role.
  2. Job Function / Profile (the “Where”) — matches the company type or the broad market the prospect operates in. Examples: HR/People/Talent, Product Management, Sales, Marketing/Communications, Technical/IT, Consultant.
  3. Industry (the “What”) — matches the specific department or domain expertise of the prospect. Examples: Technology, Software and IT Services, Fintech/Financial Services, Healthcare, Pharma and Life Sciences, Ecommerce, Consulting and Advisory.
  4. Keyword / Topics (up to 5) — used to find relevant LinkedIn prospects. Add one at a time, or pick from the Keyword Suggestions (Anthropic, Claude, Open AI, Digital Marketing, Data Analytics, Agentic Workflows, SEO, LLM, AI Solutions, FinTech, SaaS, and more).
The dropdowns in sections 1–3 also offer “Can’t find yours? Add your own” — you can type any role, function, or industry that fits your niche.

How GrowReach uses your ICP

  • Prospects matching your ICP are tagged and ranked higher — the Best ICP fit sort in Filter & Search puts them on top.
  • ICP match is a core part of your Lead Score — a prospect who fits your profile and engages with your comments is precisely the win you’re after.
  • The more specific your ICP, the more targeted your hot leads — e.g. a seniority + industry + topics combination narrows the list to exactly who you want.

Setting or updating your ICP

  1. Go to Leads.
  2. Click Your ICP/target Audience.
  3. Choose your Job Title/Seniority, Job Function/Profile, and Industry.
  4. Add Keyword/Topics — one at a time, up to 5 — typing or clicking suggestions.
  5. Click Save.
You can update your ICP any time — scoring and sorting apply immediately.
